“It was more tiring than an official marathon!

We had to manage traffic, lights and pedestrians.

Added to this is the follow-up of the course on the phone, it was not easy!

Satisfied, Laurent Thillaye du Boullay finished his marathon in Paris looking like a Tour de France which was not easy.

He had set himself the challenge of drawing the map of France in the streets of the capital on Thursday March 4 using the plotter of his GPS.

Finding a way to escape from his daily life for a race, imagining himself traveling to the four corners of France by the sheer strength of his legs.

“I ran 3:42, but with stops like crosswalks, it took me 4:19,” he explains.

"The end of the race was complicated"

As promised, throughout his marathon, he fed his Instagram page with photos representing the different stages of the course.

“The end of the race was complicated,” he told the social network once the challenge was over.

But the game was worth the candle, the final rendering of his GPS tracker is a success.

And the congratulations are numerous, the feat of the Parisian is greatly hailed on the social network, a beautiful gift for those who celebrated their 37 years the same day.

Before his departure, he had not hidden his desire to start again afterwards.

“If it's going well, why not do this kind of challenge again with other shapes, like my company logo, for example.

The employee of the Parisian start-up PayFit is therefore not lacking in imagination.

But from now on he turns above all on the half-marathon of Bailly - Noisy-le-Roi in Yvelines, on May 9, if this one is maintained.

A health walk alongside its "big deadline" at the end of August, the CCC (Courmayeur - Champex - Chamonix), UTMB race (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) with 101 km on the program including 6,200 m of vertical drop .

What a change from the Parisian coast.
