Ilya Marchenko (177) - Daniel Zuckerman (799) 6: 1, 3: 6, 2: 6
What a huge disappointment for the Israeli tennis player.
Zuckerman looked on the way to a sure victory when he sailed to 1: 6, 0: 3 very relaxed when he also had two breaks in the second set.
But then came the break of the 33-year-old Ukrainian, who gained confidence, stopped missing comfortable balls and won six games in a row on the way to 3-6 in the second set.
In the third set it was no longer close at all: Marchenko scored one break in the third game and added another one on Thursday en route to 2: 6 as he finished the game with 9 aces and a 0-1 draw for Ukraine over Israel.
