Juan Laporta officially won the presidential elections of Barcelona, to take over the task of managing the Catalan club, succeeding Giuseppe Maria Bartomeu, who resigned from his post in response to the demands of the club's fans.
Sky Sports reported that Laporta won 69.57 percent of the votes of Barcelona club members, beating the duo Victor Font and Tony Fricia.
About 57 thousand of the total 87 thousand members of the General Assembly participated in the electoral process for Barcelona, which ranks second in the Spanish League, of whom 20 thousand and 663 members actually voted via e-mail.
