He plays the balls particularly far and his body is unusually muscular for a golfer. The US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau manages another trick - this time the ball flies in the middle of a lake.

Bryson DeChambeau threw his arms in the air, and the admitted fans at Bay Hill Club & Lodge cheered as if the 27-year-old American golf star had just won the famous Masters tournament.

It was only the tee shot on the sixth hole on the third day of the PGA Tour tournament in Orlando - but not an ordinary one.

DeChambeau, who is known for his muscular body, has again provided a real golf highlight.

The American hit the ball at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Saturday on the par-5 hole directly towards the flag and 370 yards (340 meters) over a water hazard.

The track is actually 531 yards (485 meters) long and is in the shape of a horseshoe - with the lake in the middle.

By Sunday noon, a video of the art blow had been viewed millions of times on social networks.

“Oh man, I felt like a kid again.

It was almost like winning a tournament.

I got goosebumps when I saw that there was no splash, ”said DeChambeau, who is tied for second place on England's Lee Westwood before the final round in Orlando.

German golfers are not participating in the event in Florida, which is endowed with $ 9.3 million.

DeChambeau had gained over 20 kilograms in muscle mass last year and hit a golf ball over the 400-yard mark (365 meters) for the first time in training - the average distance of all pros on the PGA Tour is 272 meters.

With a body weight of 108 kilograms, the reigning US Open champion is nicknamed "Bulk", which can be translated as "mass".
