LE SCAN SPORT - The northerner midfielder revealed on his Instagram account that he was the target of racist abuse on Sunday as LOSC traveled to Ajaccio in the Coupe de France.

The Portuguese striker from Lille Renato Sanches complained of "racist comments" against him, Sunday on social networks after a trip to Ajaccio in the Coupe de France, without saying explicitly if the facts took place in Corsica.

The 23-year-old striker, born of a Cape Verdean mother, published two photos of him taken during the match won 3-1 on Sunday by his team at Gazélec d'Ajaccio (N2, 4th division) in the Coupe de France.

In legend, the Portuguese international congratulated himself on the qualification acquired for the round of 16 of the competition, mentioning “the victory” and his “assist”.

Before adding "For all the racist comments, we continue to laugh" in English, then conclude in French with this formula: "#Renato will pick up cotton".

The meeting was played behind closed doors but a handful of supporters attended the match, installed high up behind a fence that bordered the field.

It is on this side that Sanches, entered on the hour mark, delivered his decisive pass for the 2-0 goal.

At the end of the match, the possible incidents were not mentioned in a press conference by Christophe Galtier.
