Moved by the testimony, Serena Williams, who was one of the guests at the princely wedding after inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to her wedding, testified on Instagram: “Meghan Markle lives her life and sets an example with empathy and compassion.
She teaches me every day what it means to be truly noble.
Her words illustrate the pain and cruelty she suffered.
I have experienced firsthand the sexist and racist institutions and media to defame women and people of color in order to belittle, break and demonize us.
We must recognize our obligation to speak out against malicious and unfounded gossip and tabloid journalism.
The mental health consequences of systemic oppression and victimization are devastating, isolating and too often deadly. ”
And to add: "I want Meghan's daughter, my daughter and your daughter to live in a society driven by respect.
Keep in mind that the mind feeds on love, happiness, peace, kindness, kindness, faith, meekness, self-control.
Against such things there is no law. ”
