After half a season in the NBA, we got tonight (Sunday through Monday) the main course, the one every basketball fan is waiting for - the All-Star celebration.

This year, due to the Corona plague, all of this celebration was crammed into one evening and included the traditional all-star game and the skill, triples and ring competitions.

The abbreviated format did not bode well for this evening to be meaningful - quite the contrary.

The star team that made up LeBron James defeated the team built by Kevin Durant 150: 170, who did not play at all due to injury.

Towards the break, after a relatively close first quarter, the King's team (only 4 points and 4 assists in 13 minutes on the floor) ran away, and in the second half left no chance for the opponent.

This is how it is when you have Yannis Antokompo, who finished with 35 points (16 from 16 from the field), 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Award: All-Star 2021 MVP title.

On the other side stood out Damien Lillard (32 points) and Steph Kerry (28) who we will get to later, but it was not enough.

Danny Abdia's friend from Washington, Bradley Bill (26), Kyrie Irving (24), Jason Taitum and James Harden (21 each) also stood out in Durant's team.

Zion Williamson, who jumped to the top five following Durant's absence, finished with 10 points.

Triathlon

If anyone had any doubts about the best threesome in the NBA, tonight got a satisfactory answer from Steph Kerry.

The Golden State player was crowned three-time champion for the second time in her career and for the first time since 2015. He finished the first round with 31 points out of 40, and in the final defeated Mike Conley in a close battle (28 points vs. 27).

Kerry waited until the last two shots to decide the battle.

The ring competition

Portland player Anfrani Simmons became the first player in team history to win the ring competition.

He appeared in competition for the first time in his career, hovered over the ring in his first dunk and earned a score of 46 points, which secured him a spot in the final against Obi Topin of the New York Knicks.

The highlight of the winner Simmons was a dunk inspired by Tracy McGrady in the 2000 ring competition, which earned him an almost maximum score - 49.

The skills competition

Domantas Savonis recorded a surprising win in the qualifying competition, which also featured Julius Randall, Luca Doncic, Chris Paul, Robert Covington and Nikola Wojciech.

Savonis defeated Randall in the first round, also defeated Doncic - and defeated Nikola Wojciech in the final.
