Chelsea tonight (Monday) defeated Everton, their rival in the battle for the top 4, 0: 2, and established their position in fourth place in the Premier League as they extend the unbeaten streak to 11 games since Thomas Tuchel was appointed manager of the Blues.
Callum Hudson-Audrey led the hosts to a good start at Stamford Bridge, and Ben Godfrey gave Chelsea the lead with an own goal in the 31st minute.
In the second half, Giorgini doubled the lead with an accurate penalty in the 65th minute, after goalkeeper Pickford tripped Kai Haberz in the box.
Following the result - Chelsea, which have maintained a clean sheet in nine games since Tuchel's appointment, now stand at 50 points in 28 rounds, four more than Everton Fifth. The Blues can also frustrate up and see Leicester with 3 points more and Manchester United overall with 4 points above them in second place.
