Hapoel Pat Tikva announced today (Monday) the appointment of Kalmi Saban, who will be the club's third coach this season from Malabes.

Saban, who was an assistant to Masai Dego and Haim Shabu, will try to step into the shoes of the latter, who will be fired only last Friday by the professional director, Eyal Berkovich.

"We wish success to Kalmi in the new role," the group said.

The 41-year-old Saban, who will stand on the lines, for now until the end of the season only, hung up his shoes seven years ago, and his first test will be in the game against Hapoel Acre next Monday.

As you may recall, the season at Hapoel Petah Tikva, which is ranked last in the national league with only 4 wins from 25 games, began with Saei Dego, who was fired in December 2020. His replacement was Haim Shabu, who had to leave in the last marble at the end of the 0-0 draw against Hapoel Kfar Shalem .
