Pao Gasol underwent medical tests today (Monday) in his new-old team, Barcelona, and then recounted how the decision was made to return to his youth team.
"It all started with a conversation with Juan Carlos Navarro, who in addition to being a member, is also involved in the management team," said the 40-year-old inside player.
"I talked to him about the possibility of returning to Europe. A number of teams expressed interest in me, but then I realized that if I returned, it would have to be to Barcelona."
Gasol has already spoken with his coach, Ronas Jasikevicius, with whom he collaborated as an actor about 20 years ago.
"We talked, he was trying to figure out what fitness I was and how I could fit into a team, which is at a very high level right now."
