PSG-Barcelona: a sexist banner targeting Shakira shocks in Spain

The tension begins to rise before PSG-Barça, Wednesday evening at the Parc des Princes (9 p.m.), in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

A group of Parisian supporters deployed several large banners, Sunday in Paris, in front of the Parc des Princes in particular.

At night, illuminated by smoke, the banners in question are clearly hostile to FC Barcelona.

A way to increase the pressure before this match which will take place behind closed doors.

“Paris city of light, let our colors shine”, “Europe on its knees, all of Paris standing”, or even “Barcelona no bienvenido”: hostile but classic.

A last banner, however, did not fail to cause controversy: "Shakira in La Jonquera".

It refers to the famous Colombian singer, companion of defender Gerard Piqué (very uncertain Wednesday, due to a knee injury) and to a Catalan town on the French border, deemed to be a hotbed of prostitution.

Ultras accustomed to the Boulogne stand

This banner claimed on social networks by the ultra Paname ReBirth¸ group, which has its habits in the Boulogne stand, has reacted on the other side of the Pyrenees, as noted by RMC Sport.

Mundo Deportivo thus denounces "a macho banner".

El Nacional speaks of an “inadmissible, violent and sexist message, insinuating that Shakira is a prostitute”.

Fans of the singer were also outraged on the Internet, especially since the dissemination of this message took place on the eve of International Women's Day.
