Quietly, the Israeli who opened the season disappointingly at PSV Eindhoven already has nine league goals, which puts him in tenth place in the goalscoring table, even though he only shared 17 games, with everyone who preceded him playing at least 23 games.
If you add Europe as well, then Zahavi already has 12 goals in 15 games in 2021 - one more than Arling Holland.
This places him in fourth place in Europe, behind Lionel Messi (13), Yorgos Yakumakis (13) and Robert Lewandowski (15).
"Eran scored two great goals," complimented his coach Roger Schmidt.
"He came to us late, he had problems with the permits to play, then the corona and injury. He was not in top form, but he works hard and now scores many goals. It took him a while to connect with his teammates, now you can see the impact his experience has." .
While Zahavi Nosk, his outspoken teammate Daniel Mullen, who has scored 14 league goals this season, has taken a step back and found the net only once in his last five games in all competitions.
"Eran and Daniel Malan's relationship is very good, they get to know each other better," Schmidt said.
"It took a while. Donial could have conquered too, he needed to change his style a bit, now with two strikers, at first he was not so happy with it. He still gets opportunities, if not then the situation would have been much worse. Donial still. Young man, it will come with experience. "
