The Olympic Committee in Israel and the Ministry of Culture and Sports today (Monday) completed the distribution of incentives to athletes who won medals at the European and World Championships in 2020. The judiciaries Peter Palchik, who was crowned European Champion (weighing up to 100 kg) and Tal Flicker, European runner-up ( Weighing up to 66 kg). The grants for two were awarded by Gili Lustig, CEO of the Israel Olympic Committee, and Dudu Malka, Deputy Head of Sports at the Ministry of Culture and Sports.



Israeli athletes won 15 medals at the European Championships and one medal at the World Championships in 2020. At European Championships, Israeli athletes won a record 6 gold medals. (Linoy Ashram, Artium Dolgofiat, Yoav Cohen, Avishag Samberg and the Israeli team in artistic gymnastics), 4 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. In the world championships Israel won one bronze medal.



This year, the Israel Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Culture distributed incentives for European and world championships. And coaches about a million shekels.
