The French Perrine Laffont, double reigning world champion in the discipline, was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the event in parallel with the World Mogul Ski Championships, Tuesday in Almaty.
Laffont, crowned the day before in individual (or single), the only title missing from his impressive record, lost to Kazakhe Viktoriia Lazarenko (82.91 points).
The 22-year-old 2018 Olympic champion was in the lead and appeared to be in control of her opponent until approaching the second jump where she lost control and couldn't make a figure.
She was ultimately credited with 70.13 points.
Earlier, his compatriot Ben Cavet, vice-world champion the day before in individual (or single), had been eliminated as soon as he entered the running.
