Actually, Telekom is the major TV rights holder for the mega-event.
On Tuesday it was announced that they had agreed on a sub-license for the public broadcaster.
34 of 51 games are broadcast on ARD and ZDF.
The 17 other games will be shown on RTL.
In 2019, Telekom surprisingly secured the media rights for the home EM 2024 and prevailed against ARD and ZDF, among others.
Even then, the Bonn-based company had declared its intention to resell part of the rights.
All 51 games will be shown in Ultra HD on the Telecom platform MagentaTV.

In addition, Telekom announced on Tuesday that, thanks to a long-term agreement with ARD and ZDF, it had secured the broadcast of all games from the 2020 EM 2020 and the 2022 World Cup via MagentaTV, which had been postponed this summer.
Ten European Championship games and 16 World Cup games will be shown exclusively on Telekom's TV program.
According to the interstate broadcasting treaty, the European championship matches of the German national team, the opening game as well as the two semi-finals and the final must be freely receivable.
However, Telekom could only have guaranteed this through an Internet offer.
