Simon Henseleit is one of the great triathlon talents in Germany.

The 21-year-old is passionate about his sport.

He wants to convey the enthusiasm to others - and to do this he uses the Internet.

Steingaden / Nuremberg - Simon Henseleit is a passionate triathlete.

And the 21-year-old would also like to pass on the fascination of this sport.

The man from Steingaden, who has lived and trained in Nuremberg for several years, does just that, also and especially via the Internet.

Henseleit has his own blog on the homepage of a sponsor, in which he reports about himself as an athlete, his experiences in training and his competitions.

He's had the blog for some time, but recently the entries were sparse.

Henseleit now wants to change that again: "I'm definitely back in the blogger business", says the man from Steingaden with a smile.

The goal of the 21-year-old is a career as a professional triathlete - in fact, that is the sports soldier.

But Henseleit, among other things the German junior champion 2019 and European champion in the junior mixed relay, also wants to be at the forefront among adults in the future.

The man from Steingaden would like to recommend himself for World Cup missions.

The big dream is to take part in the Olympics.

"I hope that this is only the beginning of my career and that the journey together will last a few more years," said Simon Henseleit in his most recent entry.

Henseleit enjoys a quieter phase after a heavy training block

The past few days "the training was a little quieter and I had time again to really regenerate and recharge the memory," reports the 21-year-old.

Since the training was “quite demanding” recently, he “really needed the last four quieter days”.

Last Wednesday a “long trip to Franconian Switzerland” was announced.

Henseleit and his colleagues reeled 143 kilometers including 2100 meters in altitude.

They were on the way for 5:20 hours.

Even though the training group in Nuremberg had been training together since the beginning of December, "Fortunately there was no fever in the camp and I also think that we have all lifted ourselves to a new level of performance together".

Since everyone strictly adhered to the applicable hygiene rules, there was no problem with corona cases.

According to Henseleit, there is no prospect of a training camp yet, "the numbers of new corona infections abroad are simply too high for that".

But the weather is getting better and better in Nuremberg as well.

"The summer can come", so Henseleit's conclusion.

The Steingadener also gives those interested practical tips.

On Wednesday, March 10th, the triathlete will be offering half an hour of training on the “Zoom” platform.

The offer starts at 6.30 p.m.

You can register at https://bit.ly/3bdqklX.

According to Henseleit, the content is running-specific athletic exercises including a few coordination tasks.

The triathlete's campaign is part of the “Hometraining” series, which “Der Goldene Ring” - an association that supports talented sportspeople - launched together with Sparkasse Nürnberg and the 1. FC Nürnberg community platform.

In this series, all athletes supported by the "Golden Ring" offer different training units or lectures related to their sport.
