Henzi Flick is the leading candidate to succeed Joachim Lev as coach of the German national team.
This was reported tonight (Tuesday) by the German media.
The successful Bayern Munich coach may have signed for the club until the summer of 2023, but he is reportedly not convinced he will want to stay until the end of his contract, and may prefer the challenge on the team.
According to Bild, Flick is currently focusing on Bayern's tasks for the upcoming season, but knows he may leave at the end.
Another candidate first mentioned in the German media is Jürgen Klopp, but he has already made it clear that he does not intend to leave Liverpool.
Lev's retirement may also pave the way for Thomas Muller to return to the team, along with Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng who have been expelled from the national uniform by the coach.
According to reports, at least two of them may be included in the Euro squad.
