PSV Eindhoven's 1: 1 Summary with Ajax (Sport 1)

Milan is in the midst of an intense season.

The Rossoneri have not yet given up on the championship battle and are already preparing for the big meeting against Manchester United in the Europa League, but behind the scenes are already preparing for next season.

The Italian Corriere della Sera reports that the team's goal is to extend Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract by one season and also to sign a younger future striker.

The 39-year-old Swede's contract expires this summer, but AC Milan will try to extend him for another year even though he will already be 40. Zlatan has already scored 14 league goals this season, but also suffers many injuries that have caused him to miss the team games.

Milan, according to the report, will be willing to pay the Swede around 7 million euros a season and at the same time sign another striker who will give him more rest.

The prominent name mentioned as a candidate to come to the Rossoneri is that of Andrea Balotti, the Torino striker and the Italian national team, but another candidate is Doniel Mullen.

The 22-year-old striker, who scored 14 league goals this season alongside Eran Zehavi at PSV Eindhoven, was also mentioned as a candidate to come to Dortmund and the chances are that he will leave PSV in the summer.

Super agent Mino Raiola, who represents Zlatan, is also Mullen's agent.

As you may recall, in the January transfer window Milan signed veteran Mario Mendzukic (34) but it suffered mostly from injuries and recorded only four appearances as a substitute.

The lack of depth in the team's attack and Zlatan's injury greatly slowed down the Rossoneri, who lost the derby and lost the summit to Inter and are already six points away from the hated leader.
