Former trainer of Teddy Riner, Benoît Campargue launched the Shizen Sport Truck in 2018.
A traveling gym that takes place in the open air.
The former high-level coach is also called upon by companies and communities to offer outdoor sports sessions in different territories.
You created the Shizen Sport Truck, have you observed an increase in demands due to the health crisis?
BENOIT CAMPARGUE.
Yes, but the change lies above all in the approach which is different.
Today we are in a situation where it is necessary to remobilize an audience on the sporting level but also on the mental level.
Various needs must be met, including physical well-being, but this is no longer the only objective.
What are these goals that are gaining momentum?
Create or find social links!
This makes it possible to reconnect with audiences or populations who do not speak much or no longer, thanks to physical activity.
We are greatly solicited on this subject by the communities.
And how do you operate locally?
We set up sports sessions in various public spaces, for example, while respecting health measures.
The principle is to meet people to give them access to sports near their homes.
We are taking action in all the departments of Ile-de-France by bringing sport to the different territories, regardless of the conditions.
Didn't winter put people off too much?
The most beautiful sessions were the ones in the snow!
Once people understand that the cold is bearable when not in it, they come back.
We also install a covered device in winter.
But being outdoors and reconnecting with nature plays a significant role, regardless of the temperatures.

What future do you see for this new way to stay in shape?
We have a lot of requests, so we will continue.
In Ile-de-France, we are going to intensify our deployment and our various actions to allow Ile-de-France residents to play sport but above all to develop essential well-being.
In 2020 despite the Covid-19, half of the interventions were in the Paris region out of the 120 carried out.
Can this last beyond the health crisis?
Yes, companies are already asking us for programs for the “post-health crisis” with the objective of once again strengthening social ties and regaining a group spirit through sport.
Getting people who haven't seen each other for a year to reunite and reconnect.
All of this in an outdoor setting which is very important to allow everyone a breath of fresh air.
We do not set ourselves any limit, whether it rains or snows, sport is possible!
