The body of footballer Franco Acosta was found yesterday (Monday) after searches conducted since the weekend.
Acosta disappeared on Saturday and the searches in the first two days revealed pottery as well as real anxiety for his fate.
Yesterday the concerns were matched.
Acosta went out to spend time with his brother on the river bank, the day after he celebrated his 25th birthday.
The two challenged each other to cross the river from side to side, but when it was the footballer's turn, he disappeared in the middle of swimming.

Acosta is considered a very promising footballer in the youth and youth ages.
He was crowned the top scorer of the South American Under-17 Championship in 2013 with 8 conquests, and at the World Championships that year he scored another 4 goals.
He later also starred in the Under-20 team (6 goals in 14 appearances), who appeared in the World Cup in the media.
Among his teammates were Nahitan Nandes, Mauro Armbarri and Matthias Suarez, who went on to successful careers in Europe.
Acosta was acquired by Villarreal for 1.5 million euros in 2015, after starting his career at Uruguayan Phoenix.
He failed to screw up in the senior team and only played in the reserve team uniform, and over the years was loaned to several teams, including Racing Standard.
In January 2020 he left Villarreal for good and his last team was Athanas in his homeland.
