PSV Eindhoven's 1: 3 Summary on Fortuna Citard (Sport 1)

58 league goals scored this season by PSV Eindhoven, who are in second place in the Dutch league, with 54 points, 6 less than the leaders Ajax.

For 32 goals - more than half of the number of goals scored by the team in the league - are responsible for PSV's pair of attacking players, Eran Zehavi and Daniel Mullen, who scored 9 and 14 league goals respectively this season, and scored another 9 goals in common ( 6).

Following the duo's dizzying success, the Volkskrant - a leading Dutch newspaper and news site - decided to dedicate a special article to them, in which they wondered, among other things, whether they complemented each other or vice versa - interfering with each other.

"LPSW are two pioneers who can and want to score all the time," the popular website said.

"It may sound weird, but it's a bit problematic. They both prefer to kick the ball into the net rather than give it to each other. True, the goals they scored are very important for PSV, but it's too early to crown them as a winning team."

"With 12 goals in 15 games in all competitions, Zahavi is Eindhoven's hot man, while in the first half of the season, Mullen was the leading star," it read.

"It looks like they are waging a relentless battle for the goal kingdom," said former PSV player Arnold Berchink.

"They do not complement each other because they are both goal-scorers," added the former midfielder, who played for Eindhoven between 1997 and 2003 alongside Rod van Nistelrooy and Luke Nilis, who scored 55 goals together in the 1998/99 season.

"Bobby Robson who coached us always complimented them, even if they had a bad game, because he knew that in the next game they would already make sure to find the net," Brechink added.

"They always made the difference and Bobby knew it. Unlike them, between Mullen and Zahavi, he has no sharper dedication, no blind understanding yet, they are not coordinated yet."

"Zahavi works hard to conquer, but also works for the team," the former player added.

"Mullen is younger, at times his personal goals seem to interest him more than the success of the team. Good luck before the kick. "

"It is very rare that they both win in the same game," they added in de Volkskrant.

"Usually this season, one of them is brilliant while the other is gone, although coach Roger Schmidt claimed he saw improvement, saying 'they need to learn how to complement each other, and that cooperation between them seems to be improving. Anyway, the two have proved who to trust this season's. "And all that remains is to improve the cooperation between them. If they continue to improve as a duo, there is a good chance that they will be mentioned in one breath with Van Niseltroy and Nilis."
