Just over a year after joining Manchester United, Bruno Fernandez is defined as a phenomenal success story.
It is often conquered and cooked and is considered the central screw in the return of the Red Devils to the top of the high.
However, this morning it was reported that the Portuguese star said "no" to United's offer to extend his contract.
Fernandez is signed with the team until 2025, and the management want to be sure right now that he will not run away from them.
It has not yet been clarified for how long United want to extend his contract, but on the issue of salary it is very clear.
Fernandez currently earns £ 100,000 a week, far from the top of the team's salaries. For example, goalkeeper David de Gea earns £ 375,000 a week and Paul Pogba earns £ 290,000.
Fernandez has been offered to double his salary to £ 200,000 a week, but as mentioned, for now, the Portuguese is refusing to open a contract. United are expected to press him to change his mind.
