Like any American sport, the NBA likes to drown in numbers and data, to tell the story of the season.

Tonight the best league in the world is back from the All Star backlog, and here are some things worth knowing.

Distinguished guests.

533 games have been played so far this season and the balance is 285 home wins compared to 248 away wins.

This means that the success rate of the hosts is close to 53.5 percent.

The absence of the crowd is likely to do its thing, but it is undoubtedly one of the weakest seasons for the host teams, so much so that the home advantage has lost its significance.

This is a critical figure for the stage that comes after the regular season - the playoff series.

Here beyond the arc.

In the 2018/2019 season, the NBA's three-point record was broken, with no less than 27,955 baskets falling across the arc.

That's in 82 games.

Currently, although this is a season of only 72 games (due to the late opening under the shadow of the Corona), the figures show that the three snipers are capable of breaking the two-year-old record.

If the current pace continues, the number of threes at the end of the regular season will reach 27,731, only 244 less than the record - and as mentioned in ten games less.

However, given that towards the end of the regular season the tendency is to increase the shot rate to three, it is estimated that a new record is about to be set.

Eastern bomb.

One of the changes brought with it this season is in the King of Baskets category.

Since the 2012/2013 season, when Carmelo Anthony won the title, no player from the East has picked up the personal title.

And here, right now, the pair of conductors in the table of scenes are coming from the East.

Bradley Bill of the Washington Wizards averaging 32.7 points per game and Joel Ambide of the Philadelphia Sixers scoring 30.2 points per game.

The last time the East held the top two spots was in the 2008/2009 season, so those were LeBron James as the Cleveland Cavaliers player and Dwayne Wade as the Miami Heat player.

Championship on hold.

Utah Jazz went into the All-Star break with the best balance in the league (9:27), which of course makes it a candidate to win the coveted title - the best league champion in the world.

But recent history shows that jazz should not rush and sew suits.

Only two teams in the last 11 seasons have held the best balance at this point of the season and also picked up the championship.

These were Miami in 2012 and the Golden State Warriors, which did it twice, in 2015 and 2017.

The suns are shining.

And another last and interesting statistic.

Phoenix Suns has signed a major personal makeover.

For the All-Star break, it came out with a balance of 11:24, the second best in the league, which made a series of bad seasons.

Pay attention to the scales at this stage of the season in previous seasons: 33:22 in the 2019/2020 season, 48:11 in the 2018/2019 season, 41:18 in the 2017/2018 season, 39:18 in the 2016/2017 season and 14:40 in the 2015/2016 season .

Sunrise again.
