Maccabi Tel Aviv's Euroleague season will continue tomorrow (Thursday, 21:00, live on Sport 5) when the Yellows will meet Oded Katash's Panathinaikos.

Maccabi comes into the game with a small chance of advancing to the Euroleague playoffs with 11 wins and 15 losses.

In contrast, Panathinaikos has already been eliminated with 9 wins and 17 losses.

After the dramatic victory in the derby earlier this week, the Yellows moved on to preparations for the game against the Greens in Ouaka.

Maccabi Tel Aviv know that the rival's big star, Nemanja Nadovich, who exploded in the first round against them with 39 points, will not play, and the game plan will be completely different.

The team tried during the week not to comment on the spicy matchup against Oded Katash.

On the professional side, the Israeli champion is in a strange situation, while while the players who led her this season - Scotty Wilbkin, Elijah Bryant and Othello Hunter, are in less good shape, other players like Chris Jones and Tyler Dorsey, took the reins.

Jones is expected to continue to receive significant minutes from Yannis Sapropoulos, as well as Omri Caspi who has been on the rise in recent weeks.

Ante Žižić, who was slightly injured in the derby, is fit to play.

Oded Katash initially brought a change to Panathinaikos with three wins in his first five games, but in the last period since Nemanja Nadovic's injury, Pau has gone back with three straight losses.

The Greeks get back in front of the game Ioannis Petro, who scores 12.1 points per game this season, and together with Mario Zonia who recently joined and recorded 17.5 points per game, will try to lead the team to victory.

Last season, due to the Corona, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos did not play in Greece, and in fact this will be the first time that Yannis Sapropoulos comes with the Yellows for an away game against Panathinaikos.

The Greeks hold a streak of four home victories over the Yellows, with the last time the Yellows managed to beat them in Greece being in December 2013, 55:68, on the way to winning the Euroleague.

David Blue led the Maccabi Tel Aviv scoring in the same game with 13 points.

Ahead of the game, former player Tau Papaloukas was interviewed in Greece, who analyzed the balance of power.

"Maccabi Tel Aviv was one of the best teams in the Euroleague last season, and it came this season with high expectations. The problem is that it suffered from great bad luck and lost many close games that hurt it a lot. This is not its year."

The coordinator who played for a short time at Maccabi Tel Aviv added: "As always, Maccabi Tel Aviv is an athletic and fast team by American standards. Panathinaikos is in a period of transition and has extreme fluctuations in ability. .
