Younès Belhanda will no longer play for Galatasaray.
The Istanbul club announced in a statement on Wednesday that the player's contract had been "unilaterally terminated".
In the same press release, the Moroccan international is accused of having "harmed" the club, but also of having made "remarks relating to insult.

After a 2-2 draw in the Championship against Sivasspor on Sunday, Belhanda let his frustration explode at the microphone of a television channel against the state of the lawn of the Galatasaray stadium.
“The leaders must find a solution.
Even the lawn at our training camp is in better shape.
Instead of being obsessed with Twitter and Instagram, or taking an interest in the media, take care of the ground, ”he said, according to a Turkish translation of his statements.
In the crosshairs of the fans
These remarks greatly displeased the management of Galatasaray and sparked a lively controversy on social networks among the supporters of the club.
The relationship between the 31-year-old midfielder and the fans has been complicated to say the least for some time now, with the latter blaming him for a lack of consistency and commitment.
In 2019, he had already been booed by the public after being replaced during a Champions League game against Real Madrid.
In return, he insulted the supporters.
Younès Belhanda started professionally in Montpellier between 2009 and 2013, a club with which he won the title in 2012. He then signed up with Dynamo Kiev for five years before joining Galatasaray for an amount of 10 million dollars. euros in the summer of 2017 one year after being loaned to OGC Nice.
His contract with the Turkish club should have ended next June.
