In the district of Erding, extensive rule changes in the youth sector were decided.

Above all, the reduced number of players is a major problem.

District - Even if something normal should return in the medium term, the young footballers will have to be prepared for further changes in addition to the age reduction.

District youth leader (KJL) Stefan Erl informed the officials about the details in advance.

In future, U19 juniors may continue to play in the youth group, provided that they have not yet played four point games among the seniors, whereby the number is limited to a maximum of three players per game.

This regulation applies up to the youth district league.

U19 & U17: Flexible number of players

Only in the group, on the other hand, should the “Norwegian model” be possible for the A and B juniors.

With this form you want to avoid cancellations due to lack of players.

Up to three days before the game, the team concerned has the opportunity to inform the opponent of the number of players with which the game is to be played.

District youth leader (BJL) Jochen Fuchs sees great advantages in this: "In the future he will give fewer team cancellations and therefore fewer players will be lost." However, so that youngsters who are ready to play do not have to take a break, the substitution right can be claimed.

C-Juniors: 9 vs. 9 as the main form of play

Since the voting result for the C-Juniors was not clear, there are now two forms of play, Erl reports. In the registration form, the clubs have the option to decide for 9 against 9 (C 9) or 11 against 11 (C 11), and Erl then tries to live up to these wishes in the division of the league.

"However, it still has to be clarified whether the district league can also play C 11 without losing the promotion right to BOL, because C9 was determined as the main form of play."

Fuchs already had a clear answer regarding playing rights in cross-district competitions (hall, building and BFV cup).

"It is not possible to change the playing rights in an ongoing competition, so that the previous rule remains in effect in preliminary rounds that are only played at district level".

How it will behave in the Lipp Cup is still open.

"But since only Erdinger teams are involved, the new regulation could also take effect," suspects the Erdinger large field junior leader Willi Brambring.

In the Merkur CUP, the previous solution would have worked.

But (as reported) the big e-youth tournament of Münchner Merkur and its home newspapers will not take place this year.

Kleinfeld: Funino as an alternative

In the small field, the F-Juniors are considering revolutionary changes not only at the district level.

"Funino should serve the clubs as a further offer, but we will not impose it on the clubs," said Fuchs, relieving the officials of the concern that the usual game operations will be given up, "although he does not know what the future will bring".

At Funino, three children per team (plus one substitute) play on a smaller playing area (32 x 25 meters) on two mini-goals each on the baseline.

With this form of play, which also receives great support from the youth association director Florian Weißmann, the aim is to ensure that the children have more possession of the ball, but also more playing times.

These are guaranteed by the fact that after every goal that can only be scored within the 6 meter wide end zone, a change of player is mandatory for both teams.

That the result is of secondary importance is also shown by the rule that teams that are more than three goals behind can strengthen themselves with the fourth player.

"This form of play offers many advantages, and above all the guaranteed operating times ensure more fun and better support for the children", Fuchs advertises for Funino and also sees another advantage.

“The long break in particular has prompted many families to use the weekend with their children differently.

Since only four children are absolutely necessary at Funino, it is a little easier that you can do without one or the other player on these days ”, the BJL hopes for a strong parental acceptance.

In order to clarify further details, two conferences are planned for mid-March, at which Weissmann will also provide information about the next steps.
