Improving trend.

Danny Abdia started the second half of the season well - but Washington a little less.

The Israeli rookie finished tonight (Wednesday-Thursday) with 13 points (5 of 8 from the field including 3 of 5 of the three), 6 rebounds, an assist and a 24-minute steal in the Wizards' 127-112 loss to Memphis, in a return game from the All-Stars.

The Wizards, who as a result of the loss were left with a balance of 21 losses compared to 14 wins and stayed two and a half games away from eighth place in the East, have dug a hole for themselves from the start, as has happened more than once this season.

The first quarter ended with a nine-point lead for Grizzlies, who grew to 19 points during the second quarter.

As usual, the Wizards made a comeback and even took the lead, but in the end the color inferiors decided the game: the Grizzlies finished with 60 rebounds compared to only 39 of the visitors, while Jonas Valencionas - the best in the winning ranks - alone recorded more rebounds on offense (11). Of the Wizards in this category (6).

Below its standards.

Valencia displayed complete control against the Wizards' highs, finishing with a formidable double-double of 29 points and 20 rebounds, along with 4 blocks.

Ja Morant added his own double-double with 21 points and 10 assists, and Memphis completed a season-long sweep over Washington, which has counted three losses in the last four games.

Bradley finished as the leading scorer for the Wizards with 21 points, despite suffering from a lukewarm offensive day that included 6 of 22 from the field and 1 of 8 from three.

Russell Westbrook contributed 20, 10 assists and 5 rebounds, and Davis Bartans (13) and Roy Hachimura (11) also recorded good minutes.

Danny Abdia, for his part, is continuing an upward trend.

In the last three games he has averaged 25 minutes, and in two of them he finished with a double-digit points balance.

Tonight he also got two assists from Russell Westbrook, appeared to be relatively involved in the attack and also returned to sniping at high percentages off the arc.

He will hope to continue with the same ability in Washington's next Friday-Saturday game against Philadelphia, hoping this time it will also lead to a victory.
