Election to the FFF: why amateur football will vote for Noël Le Graët

2021-03-12T06:43:30.991Z

Opposed to Frédéric Thiriez and Michel Moulin, Noël Le Graët leaves favorite for a fourth term at the head of the FFF, whose election is taking place

Their votes weigh heavily.

63% of the votes for the election to the presidency of the FFF come from the amateur world (mainly the presidents of League and District).

It was heavily impacted by the health crisis which led the government, then the Federation to stop the amateur championships last season and once again this year.

Football from below often has the impression of being left behind by the FFF.

When questioned, most educators or club presidents are skeptical about the actions that the winner could take in order to facilitate the daily life of these amateurs.

“Le Graët remains the least worst of the three, even if we can criticize his action for amateurs, judges a youth educator in the Paris suburbs.

The other two cannot compete.

Thiriez, when he talks about amateur football, it's just indecency in relation to Luzenac.

He's not really ashamed of anything.

Seriously, do you see him on a suburban lot?

He is not credible.

Moulin is different.

He knows amateur football.

But, when you see his list, it doesn't sound very serious.

"

“Le Graët is seen as someone indifferent to amateur football.

He always puts forward his figures but I think he is not aware of the lightness of the aid that the Federation brings to the clubs in relation to the profits generated, says a coach of an amateur club of N2.

Le Graët, what interests him above all, is the France team and sponsorship.

Not us ... In addition, the Federation operates in a closed circle, like a property where the posts are passed between them.

"

"A lack of support from the FFF"

Frédéric Chevit, president of CO Vincennes (Val-de-Marne), one of the largest clubs in number of licensees (1200) in France, regrets the lack of help and support from the Federation.

“Noël Le Graët is an intelligent person, but I find it hard to understand when he says that the FFF does a lot for amateur football.

Certainly, there are some help but that seems so ridiculous to me compared to the sums that circulate in pro football.

I have the impression that we are interested in amateur football the weeks before the election and, afterwards, everyone is doing as best they can.

The former sports boss of France Television continues: “A system makes it possible to reward amateur clubs when there is a transfer of a French player abroad, where 5% of the compensation is redistributed to amateur clubs in depending on the years played.

But this does not work for transfers between French clubs.

If a law was planned for that, the sums would make it possible to help and encourage amateur clubs but I did not see that in the candidates' program ... If Noël Le Graët wins, the presence of Jamel Sandjak (president of the Ligue de Paris) at the Comex, whose role will be to represent amateur football and defend its interests, could help to move things forward.

"

"The most credible"

The Presidents of Leagues and District believe by a large majority that Noël Le Graët will win and serve a fourth term.

"Christmas Le Graët will pass quietly, Thiriez remembered that amateur football existed and Moulin I do not see what he is doing there, launches Georges Flouret, the boss of the District of the Opal Coast for 16 years and who left his post at the end of last year.

Noël Le Graët has always supported amateur football as with the creation of the solidarity fund last year.

Personally, when I had needs for my District, he always responded.

"Le Graët's action is positive," says Jean-René Moracchini, president of the Corsican League.

We have a hope center which is funded by the Federation, we receive employment assistance.

Even if, in Corsica, we are the smallest League, the FFF treats us like the big ones, there is no discrimination.

I also sit on the High Authority where there are only two League presidents.

As soon as he comes to Corsica, he lays a wreath on the Furiani stele, he made the trip for the inauguration of our new premises.

We really have no reason to complain about him.

“I support NLG because it is the most credible and our president of the League of Paris is part of its list, supports François Charasse, president of the District of Hauts-de-Seine.

We expect volunteers to be more recognized and, personally, I would like free training and licenses for young people under 18 and leaders.
