She just slipped into the second run, but then Andrea Filser used the good slope conditions in her favor at the World Cup slalom in Are.

Are / Wildsteig

- From a purely arithmetic point of view, Andrea Filser had improved on the World Cup double in Are, Sweden: Compared to the first competition last Friday, in which she reached 25th place (we reported) at the second appearance the following day, the Wildsteig reached 21st place .

However, the 27-year-old was not completely satisfied: After she had just qualified for round two as 30th of the first run, "I really wanted to let one out," said Filser's plan for the second run.

However, she did not really go on attack - which ZDF expert Marco Büchel also noticed: "I'm a bit disappointed with your willingness to take risks."

Alpine skiing: Andrea Filser starts the second run as the first runner

Filser started the race as the first runner in the decisive round and thus had perfect slope conditions.

The wild climber drove through the forest of poles without recognizable errors, but the unconditional attack looks different.

Filser admitted that: "I used my starting position, but not as it was agreed upon," she revealed in an interview with ZDF.

With increasing duration, however, the piste got worse and the times of the competitors driving after it got worse.

In the end, Filser was able to move up a whopping nine places.

Austrian Katharina Liensberger won the race by a large margin.
