Three successes in four days: Primoz Roglic is insatiable.

The day after his victory at Biot and three days after raising his arms in Chiroubles, the leader of the Jumbo-Visma signed a third victory in this Paris-Nice, this Saturday, at the end of the 7th stage.

A new success which allows the winner of the Vuelta 2020 to consolidate his yellow leader's jersey on the eve of the arrival in Levens (Alpes-Maritimes).

The Slovenian took over the Swiss Gino Mader (Bahrain Victorious), survivor of a long breakaway, fifty meters from the finish line.

German Maximilian Schachmann (Bora Hansgrohe), 2nd overall, completed the day's podium.

The race, opened by a breakaway of thirteen runners to the foot of the final ascent, turned into a hill climb to reach La Colmiane, at an altitude of 1,500 m.

In the lead until the last few hundred meters, Mader saw his lead melt on the last slopes, although Roglic cut his effort for the first time before sprinting to win.

Roglic finally cut the line two seconds before the Swiss.

On Sunday, the 8th stage was shortened and lightened due to the confinement of the coastal strip around Nice.

The 92.5 km route takes the form of a loop around Levens, the locality where the finish is expected after three laps of the circuit.
