Herbalife Israel and the Olympic Committee are expanding the collaboration that began ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 to another seven years, during which the nutrition company will provide sponsorship worth about NIS 3 million to the Olympic Committee.
As part of the agreement, Herbalife will also sponsor the Olympic Games to be held this summer in Tokyo and two other Olympic campaigns: in 2024 in Paris and in 2028 in Los Angeles.
In addition, Herbalife Israel has announced that it will continue to personally sponsor triathlete Shahar Sagiv.
Yigal Carmi, Chairman of the Israel Olympic Committee, said at the signing of the agreement: "We greatly appreciate the full trust that the Herbalife Company places in the Israel Olympic Committee.
"A multi-year sponsorship agreement for three Olympic cycles is certainly exceptional on any scale, and especially signed at a time when the world is run differently because of the corona crisis."
Ron Porat, CEO of Herbalife Israel, said: “As part of encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle, which is the core value of Herbalife, the Israel Olympic Committee is our ultimate partner in assimilating the importance of nutrition in a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to supporting the entire Olympic staff, we have chosen to personally adopt Shahar Sagiv, who illustrates how a healthy diet on a daily basis leads to achievements.
Shahar Sagiv joined the Herbalife family in 2016 and is leading the way in our joint effort to improve eating habits in Israel. "
