Sean Weissman joined Avigdor Lieberman's many critics this morning (Sunday), following his remarks on the "Ofira and Barco" program that caused a stir over the weekend.
In a program that aired on Friday, Lieberman said with a smile: "The ultra-Orthodox together with Bibi, on one wheelbarrow to a good landfill."
The facilitators, Ofira Asaig and Eyal Berkovich, responded with a laugh.
The Real Valladolid striker and the Israeli team tweeted: "Unfortunately I got up this morning and was exposed to this shocking thing !! I'm just angry and hurt how to let this thing go and the two interviewers are still laughing !! Shame and disgrace that such a thing goes on like this in our country without reference !!".
Lieberman's statement ignited a major storm and was condemned by many politicians and public figures.
The head of the Yisrael Beiteinu party was not moved and tweeted: "The Netanyahu, Smutritz, Deri, Gafni and Abbas coalition is a fundamentalist coalition that wants to turn Israel into Iran and put an end to Israel's vision as a Zionist and liberal state. The State of the Jews with an emphasis on the chapter "Theocracy". "
