As first reported in "Israel Today", forward / center Knight Sastina signed with Hapoel Holon until the end of the season with an option for another season.
Sastina (23, 2.06m) played for five years in colleges, first at Buckennell and his fifth season at Kentucky.
In his first season in college he suffered a shoulder injury, which caused him to miss most of the season and extend his college term to five years.
This season he played for the Long Island Nets from the G-League.
The new acquisition will be able to play in the Winner League and the Balkan League, but will not be available to the professional team in the Champions League because the registration date for this framework ended a few weeks ago.
The team's coach, Stefanos Dadas, commented on the player's signing: "Knight comes from a great college and is a player I have been following since the summer.
"The fact that he is a great man with an outside shot and a team player is definitely something that fits my philosophy. He will help us in the rotation of the high players because we have three factories we want to get to the end with double games until the end of the season.
"In the Champions League he can not help us but can help in the other frameworks and give us depth and confidence. His human quality will give us a big plus and give support to the great chemistry we have in the team."
