Mario Zukowiczki, the former goalkeeper of Hapoel B'Shlosha and one of the great symbols of the club, passed away today (Tuesday) after a battle with the disease when he was only 68 years old.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva stated: "The Hapoel Beer Sheva club regrets the untimely death of former goalkeeper Mario Zukowitzky, after a struggle with a serious illness.
Zukowiczki played for the team between 1977-1980 and 1982-1987.
