Covid-19: PSG still closes its training center

The Parisian club announced on Wednesday the closure of its training center following numerous cases of Covid-19 in its young teams


New closure for the PSG training center announced by the club in a press release, specifying that it is considering a reopening on Monday March 22.

“Following a Covid-19 screening campaign recently carried out at the training center, several new cases have been detected.

The club has therefore decided, as a precautionary measure, to temporarily close its training center until Monday, March 22.

The capital club, which usually houses around fifty young people, said that a new Covid-19 test session will be carried out on Friday March 19.

The objective is not to take any risk in the face of the deteriorating situation in the Paris region.

Already closed in February

In a month and a half, this is the second time that the Parisian training center has sent its residents back to their parental home.

On February 5, the club had already had to deal with numerous cases of Covid-19 and had closed its doors for a week, resulting in the cancellation of all youth training.

He then again welcomed his residents who, a month later, returned home again.

This closure comes as the health situation worsens in Ile-de-France, but also within the PSG.
