Niklas Dorsch scored a goal in his first Bundesliga game for Bayern Munich.

He describes this as "one of the most beautiful moments of my career".

Munich - A few years ago, Niklas Dorsch was one of the greatest talents at FC Bayern.

At the age of 17 he was promoted from the U17 to the U23.

Born in Lichtenfels, he was the captain of both the U17 and the U23 and was allowed to train with the pros as a young boy under Pep Guardiola.

Internally, the midfielder was traded as the new Toni Kroos.

In his first and so far only Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2017/18 season, he scored a goal: "It was one of the best moments of my career," Dorsch revealed to the kicker.

Via 1. FC Heidenheim in the Champions League and Europa League

Nevertheless, he refused an extension and left Bayern only a short time later: “I wanted to take the next step.

It was not an option for me to extend in Munich to play another year with the amateurs ”.

Dorsch decided to move to the 2nd Bundesliga to 1. FC Heidenheim and played a major role in the fact that the FCH developed from a relegation candidate to a promotion candidate and failed in the relegation last season only due to the away goals regulation at Werder Bremen.

With the greatest success in the club's history, Dorsch said goodbye and moved to KAA Gent in Belgium.

The 23-year-old wanted to play for the championship there.

Instead, the Buffalos are currently only in eleventh place in the table.

After failing in the Champions League qualification, last year's runner-up was eliminated from the group stage of the Europa League as the bottom of the table without winning a point.

U21 European Championship as the next international stage

Cod, however, is one of the few bright spots for the Belgians.

“It was not a successful sporting time, but a very instructive one for me.

What I experienced there in such a short time is enough for ten years.

I had to assert myself among four coaches ”.

Nevertheless, the ex-Nuremberg resident sees his time in Belgium as positive so far: “The step abroad without family and friends is something that also has an enormous impact on you as a person.

It was a situation that I hadn't seen before ”.

Especially the first experiences in the Champions League and Europa League are "a positive step in development" for Dorsch.
