The Syrian national athletics team won two “gold and silver” medals on the first day of the international tournament currently held in Rades, Tunisia.
Muhammad Khalid Mohammed won the gold medal in the javelin throw, scoring a distance of 41.68 meters in the "F57" classification, while Ali Asaad won the silver by throwing the disc, scoring a distance of 32.50 meters in the "F11" classification, breaking his previous record of 31.50.
It is noteworthy that the international tournament is part of the preparations for our team for the Tokyo Olympics, which will be held next June.
