A nice achievement for the city of Ness Ziona.
The team advanced to the quarterfinals of the European Cup after beating Kiev Basket 76:90 tonight (Wednesday) in a bubble in Dan Bosch in the Netherlands.
Ness Ziona will meet Greek Heraklis on Friday and a win will lift them to the factory's Final Four.
The first half did not bode well for the sequel.
Ness Ziona with a half of 1 out of 7 for three lags already by 10 points towards the end of the second quarter and fell to half with a delay of 36:44.
In the third quarter the game changed completely. Patrick Miller (20 points and 6 assists) and Brian Angola (21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists) plus a significant change in defense led to a 8:29 quarter and a 52:65 lead after 30 minutes. Immediately after the start of the fourth quarter, Nes Ziona went up to 55:73 and actually closed the game.
