The Egyptian team qualified for the African Nations Cup for football in Cameroon next year, after tying with its Kenyan host with a goal similar to it today in the fifth and penultimate round of qualifiers.
The Egyptian team opened the scoring early in the second minute, through Mohamed Magdy, and Kenya equalized in the 66th minute of the match.
The Kenyan team ended the match with 10 men after Johnston Amoroa was sent off in the 75th minute.
With this victory, Egypt raised its score to 9 points and accompanied the Comoros national team from Group G to the African Nations Cup one round before the end of the qualifiers.
