SV Vötting and coach Manuel Haupt will go their separate ways from the new season: The 36-year-old will join ASV Dachau as a coach for the 21/22 season.

Vötting

- “We are very happy for Manuel.

That is the result of his great work in the past and currently with our team, ”says SVV department head Jannis Göft-Michaelis about the departure of his coach.

Haupt took over Vöttinger in summer 2019 from long-time trainer Andreas "Stifti" Eckardt and interim coach Maximilian Peschek.

After the end of the season Haupts Weg now leads to Dachau to the ASV, which currently plays in the Landesliga Südost and thus three classes higher than the "Kiesweiherbuam".

That is why the team represents a “special and very attractive challenge” for the 36-year-old, explains Göft-Michaelis.

SV Vötting in the middle of the promotion race

In the current season, the Vöttinger are still in the middle of the promotion race as third place in district class 3.

Göft-Michaelis: “All together we hope that the current season can still be played in the best possible way and, above all, successfully.

However, we wanted to clarify the important position of coach at an early stage in order to be able to plan for the new round. ”At the SVV, Göft-Michaelis continues, one is extremely grateful for the two years in which the young one has been SVV team after relegation from the district league and a change to a top team in the district class.

Change of coach also in the A-class reserve

For those responsible at SV Vötting, the crucial phase of finding a coach for the new season begins.

"We are optimistic that we will find an optimal coach for this very young, talented and hungry team," emphasizes SVV department head Christoph Nitschke.

And his colleague Göft-Michaelis is also certain that “this team will be an attractive task for many ambitious trainers”.

During the winter break, the SVV's second team had to change their coach: Sebastian Dobler resigned as a player, Anton Hirschfeld took over the coaching post on an interim basis until the summer.

For the new season, the SVV is also looking for a new coach for the A-class reserve.
