Now the EC Peiting is really under pressure: The second play-off game against Rosenheim was also lost.

The decision fell in overtime - through an extremely unlucky goal.

Peiting - Andreas Feuerecker wanted to save - and thus became an unlucky person, completely innocent.

The captain of the EC Peiting threw himself in the overtime against the free standing Kevin Slezak from Rosenheim.

He had got the puck, which had ricocheted off the back gate, exactly on the bat.

Slezak pulled straight away, the pane hit Feuerecker's shin guards and from there at a 90-degree angle into the ECP goal.

With that the Peitinger had lost the second game in the Oberliga quarter-finals against the "Starbulls".

It was 2: 3 after extra time on Friday evening.

At the start, the Peitinger lost 6-1.

In the third encounter on Sunday in Rosenheim (5 p.m.) a victory is essential if the season is not to end prematurely in the first play-off round.

Coach Sebastian Buchwieser paid his mini-troop respect: "The boys played and fought well." Regarding the guests' winning goal, he said: "Luck and coincidence are always there."

EC Peiting has an exciting duel with Rosenheim

The start of the duel on Friday was questionable from the ECP's point of view.

Rosenheim had chances too easily.

The biggest was Bohumil Slavicek, who got the puck completely free in front of the goal - ECP keeper Florian Hechenrieder parried brilliantly (2nd).

The hosts, who this time had four outfield players less than their opponents, caught themselves and ensured an even event on the ice.

In the further course there were good opportunities both over there and over there.

On the side of the Peitinger, Martin Hlozek (4th, 6th, 12th) missed a hit several times.

When guest player Dominik Kolb had the empty goal in front of him, ECP defender Fabian Weyrich brought the bat in between (14th).

Rosenheims Slavicek (11th) and Peitings Daniel Reichert (16th) each hit the boom.

There was really something going on in the middle third.

Nardo Nagtzaam hit the post in a power play, Reichert shot the rebounding puck to make it 1-0 into the net (23rd).

After that, the ECP survived a minority in which "Starbulls" striker Kyle Gibbons had shot at the crossbar (24th).

Only a little later Rosenheim equalized in the majority - Tobias Meier had hit away from the face-off (27th).

Just 32 seconds later, Alexander Höller scored the 2: 1 for the guests with a nice flick (27th).

Peiting quickly collected himself.

In a counter move, Ty Morris showed an overview: Simon Maier used his clever cross pass to make it 2-2 (31st).

In the following power play, the ECP narrowly failed several times.

Shortly before the end of the third, Hechenrieder saved his team from falling behind when Maximilian Vollmayer shot (39th).

The final third began with a huge chance for Hlozek (42nd), to which “Starbulls” keeper Andreas Mechel reacted strongly.

The ECP almost scored a goal, but Simon Maier had no luck on his break.

Double bad luck: the rebounded puck could not get the well-positioned Morris under control (48th).

In the final phase, the tension increased, especially since both teams kept coming up with promising offensive actions.

At EC Peiting, Hlozek showed a lot of pull towards the goal.

Feuerecker and Maximilian Söll tried from a distance.

Neither team wanted to score a goal.

In extra time (in the play-offs for a maximum of 20 minutes), the Rosenheimers ultimately had luck on their side.
