The replacement goalkeeper of the Blues, on loan from the Parisian club to Fulham, spoke about Keylor Navas who, according to him, is going through a pain

Present with the Blues for the three qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, French goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, still under contract with PSG but loaned to Fulham (England), was full of praise for the current holder of the goalkeeper position of the Parisian club Keylor Navas, after the many performances of the Costa Rican in recent months.

In an interview with RTL, the French goalkeeper explained carefully monitoring the performance of Paris in European competition.

“Navas is efficient, he helps PSG to be where he is.

I watched the Champions League matches (against Barcelona), I follow the club very closely.

It's nice to see Paris go through the stages and Keylor Navas was a very big player in all of this.

"

Crossover between the two guards

In September 2019, we witnessed a crossover between the two goalkeepers.

The Costa Rican had been transferred from Real Madrid to the Parisian club while Alphonse Areola had done the opposite, being loaned by PSG to the Madrid club.

Remarkable during the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Barça on March 10, notably stopping a penalty from Lionel Messi, Keylor Navas now appears to be a key asset for PSG.

Present in the starting XI in every Champions League match this season, he is today considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

A reputation that he will have the opportunity to confirm in eight days during the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League against Bayern Munich, formidable defending champion.
