Almost the whole team is allowed to train together in one district, but not in the other: This circumstance plunged the SV Raisting coach into a conflict of conscience.

Raising

- The temptation was far too great to resist.

Johannes Franz was seriously concerned with the question of whether he should not cheat.

Because the incidence rate in the Weilheim-Schongau district had quickly exceeded the neuralgic mark of 50 again in recent weeks, the SV Raisting coach was only able to train in small groups of five people each.

However, the prerequisite was that they came from no more than two households.

The territory of the Landsberg district begins just a stone's throw from your own community, where conditions were prosperous until last Thursday.

Because the incidence value there is almost constantly below 50, contactless sport is allowed in small groups of up to ten people.

“You can see that you are taking advantage of it,” admitted the coach of the district league team.

If you think about it, this is insane.

Joahnnes Franz, player-coach of SV Raisting

Franz tried hard to get over to the neighboring district with his borderland residents.

A few days ago he asked VfL Denklingen whether he could train with his team on the club's artificial turf.

But he got himself a rejection.

At some point, however, the SVR coach was plagued by remorse as to whether his actions were ethically justified.

Because his need for halfway acceptable training conditions for his kickers collided with the care for his fellow men.

Because football tourism in districts that are only marked in yellow on the map of the Robert Koch Institute increases the risk that the Raistingers unconsciously bring the virus across the border to the clubs based there.

"When you think about it, it's amazing," said Franz, who suddenly had scruples.

Football: Raistings league competitor FC Penzberg trains in any case in home areas

Only 40 kilometers southwest of Raisting, FC Penzberg, the second district division in the Weilheim-Schongau district, faced the same situation on March 8th.

His trainer Martin Wagner would only have had to cross the Loisach with his team, he could already have trained in groups of ten in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district.

After a short discussion with those responsible in the club, the coach decided not to benefit from the favorable geographical location.

“We train in the Nonnenwald Stadium,” he announced.

In any case, it did not take long before the sports clubs from the Weilheim-Schongau district could no longer capitalize on their sandwich position.

On March 26, the other territories that are draped around the Weilheim-Schongau district were also colored red on the RKI map.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, with an incidence number of 78.2, was significantly lower than Weilheim-Schongau (110.0), but was just as much in the red as Garmisch-Partenkirchen (122.1), Ostallgäu (221.7) and Starnberg ( 96.6).

We are practically the Gallic village.

Nico Weis, trainer at MTV Dießen

Even the model boys from the Landsberg district climbed last Thursday for the first time in three weeks to an incidence value above the 50 limit (53.2).

But yesterday it was again at 48.2.

“We are practically the Gallic village,” said Nico Weis, delighted last Monday about the exceptional corona technology position on Lake Ammersee.

For a week, the cashier and trainer of MTV Dießen was able to gather his kickers almost as a team.

From March 22nd, the teams could even have trained completely if every player had completed a quick test beforehand.

But this option was categorically ruled out for the MTV kickers.

“That wasn't an issue for us,” explained department head Christian Winterer.

They are not bedded on roses in Dießen to give 355 players a quick test for a one-time practice session.

The men's gymnastics club did not receive any inquiries about space capacities from the neighborhood, which is probably also due to the fact that the A-Class does not have artificial turf.

“I find that strange,” says Weis.

He speaks out against the district hopping of some soccer teams, just to gain a sporting advantage in preparation.

But his understanding of Johannes Franz, who is fighting with his kickers against relegation from the district league, is great.

For Weis, the Raistingers have practically no other choice if they want to go into the rest of the season halfway prepared.

"It would have made more sense to cancel the entire season," says Weis, for whom the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) 's unconditional commitment to ending the season in accordance with the statutes is responsible for these excesses.

Football: SV Raisting had planned preparation for the rest of the season with general staff

This winter, the Raistingers learned how complicated it can be to adequately prepare for a season in times of a pandemic.

Actually, Franz had planned the preparation for the remaining six season games with general staff.

Last December, he reached an agreement with TSV Erling-Andechs that he would be able to rent the A-Classist's artificial turf once a week from February to prepare his players for the “relegation” mission.

However, the project failed because the lockdown of November 2, 2020 was not defused until March 8.

But then the Erlingers immediately got back to Franz. "They asked if I was still interested."

In addition to their sports grounds, they could also offer permission from the authorities to train in groups of ten.

At the time, the incidence value in the Starnberg district was still below 50. However, until everything was in the towel, the number of infections per 100,000 inhabitants exceeded the set limit again within the past week.

Football: Raistings trainer complains: BFV puts clubs under pressure

“We are more or less pushed to do this,” said Franz. He complains that he seriously toyed with the idea of taking advantage of the guidelines of politics and the Bavarian Football Association for his team.

"This is exactly what the BFV provokes because it puts the clubs under so much pressure," is his allegation.

The powerful footballers from Brienner Strasse are still sticking to their ambitious plan to reserve just three weeks for team training together before the season starts again.

“Everyone sees that they get something from the cake,” Franz admits that he couldn't do anything else.

However, the example of FC Penzberg shows that this does not necessarily have to be the case.

He accepts the situation as it is.

For Nico Weis, however, this does not change the fact that the dogma of the association superiors to end the season sportily under all circumstances is now blooming like the Raisting case.

“They run after their own thesis,” the MTV coach sees the functionaries as prisoners and driven by their own politics.

As coach of the national league women of the MTV Weis expects similar grotesque situations if the season should be continued in the spring.

Some rivals from the regional league group South, in which the women from Dießen play, are at home in a district with an exorbitantly high incidence.

For example SpVgg Grün-Weiß Deggendorf (171.6), TSV Theuern (Amberg-Sulzbach district, 210.6), or SV Thenried (Cham district, 296.9).

“How is that supposed to work?” Asks Weis.

Sport is out of the question in these counties at the moment.

Fortunately, you might think.

This way, nobody is tempted to do something that they consider to be "madness".
