One of the most promising golfer of his generation, Joaquin Neiman has largely contributed to saving the life of a member of his family suffering from a rare disease after a tremendous mobilization on social networks.
Last October, like the whole family, the former world n ° 1 amateur celebrated the birth of a cousin, Rafita.
But the joy was short-lived when doctors diagnosed a rare inherited disease after a few days, proximal spinal atrophy.
This disease is characterized by degeneration of nerve cells from birth causing muscle wasting and almost total paralysis of the infant.
The patient is immobile and may even be unable to suck and swallow.
