ENGLAND

Guardian

: North Macedonia inflicted a historic World Cup qualification defeat on Germany.

For Germany it was the first qualifying defeat for a World Cup since 2001. «

“The Sun”

: “Timo Werner looked more like a flop, not a top earner, when he missed a sure hit in the 1: 2 home defeat.

The striker carried his disappointing first season with Chelsea on the international stage when Germany lost a World Cup qualifier for the first time since England's 5-1 win in Munich in September 2001. "

ITALY

"Gazetto dello sport":

"A more complicated day for the

best in

class, especially for Germany, which had a sensational home game against Macedonia - and was given a sensational blow.

Pandev and Elmas inflict their first home defeat on the Germans since September 2019.

In the end, the result was shaped by luck, but also by willingness to make sacrifices and the careful defensive play of Angelovski's team. "
