Real Madrid star Karim Benzema won the best player award in the Spanish Football League last March, ahead of Barcelona's Lionel Messi, the captain of Barcelona.
Sky News reported that Benzema also beat the list of nominees for the award, Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak, star of Atletico Madrid, Moroccan star Youssef Nassiri, striker of the Seville team, Gerard Moreno, striker of Via Real, Daniel Fez of Valencia, and Borja Iglesias, striker of RIA of Betis.
The French star scored five goals and scored one goal with Real Madrid during the month of March, while Messi scored four goals and scored the same.
Benzema is the top scorer in the Spanish League with 21 goals, four goals behind leaders Lionel Messi.
