On Wednesday the newspaper announced that Oliver Bierhoff had agreed to meet Ralf Rangnick for an exchange in April.

According to current information, the former Leipzig boss is not the only candidate with whom contact has been made.

, “exploratory talks” with Ralf Rangnick, Stefan Kuntz and Oliver Sorg are pending.

According to the report, Rangnick is currently on vacation in Mallorca.

Rangnick apparently makes no secret of the fact that he is very interested in the job.

If the DFB decides for him, he will have to accept fundamental reforms - the Swabian will question and want to change the structures and processes surrounding the national team.

Stefan Kuntz *, on the other hand, would be considered as the "logical" successor, who was also Löw when he succeeded Jürgen Klinsmann.

His work as a long-time youth coach is highly valued internally at the DFB - but he does not have top-level international experience.

“I think if someone at the DFB thinks we'll talk to Stefan, they'll call me.

The third member of the team is Löw's assistant coach Oliver Sorg.

No fixed appointments have yet been made with him and Kuntz, but they are among the closest candidates.

Which Löw successor to choose could be decided in the next few weeks.

But it is also possible that the DFB will take its time until after the EM.
