Jogi Löw has to accept the next blow in the neck with the embarrassing bankruptcy against North Macedonia.

The DFB is now apparently serious about the search for a successor.

Frankfurt - Actually, calm should return before the EM and a spirit of optimism should arise.

All that makes a desolate appearance of the DFB-Elf against North Macedonia * ruin again.

The motivational effect that national coach Jogi Löw * wanted to trigger with his resignation announcement - it has already fizzled out again.

Are the alarm bells ringing at the DFB?

Quite a few are demanding the immediate replacement of Löw after the embarrassing bankruptcy in the World Cup qualifying.

This scenario is extremely unlikely, just a few weeks ago the national coach had full confidence in the EM.

But behind the scenes, the search for a successor is now apparently really picking up speed.

DFB: Search for Löw's successor is picking up speed - talks with Rangnick, Kuntz and Sorg

As the

kicker

reports, the DFB has scheduled talks with three candidates.

On Wednesday the newspaper announced that Oliver Bierhoff had agreed to meet Ralf Rangnick for an exchange in April.

After Easter things should go quickly: According to

Kicker

, “exploratory talks” with Ralf Rangnick, Stefan Kuntz and Oliver Sorg are pending.

According to the report, Rangnick is currently on vacation in Mallorca.

Rangnick apparently makes no secret of the fact that he is very interested in the job.

If the DFB decides for him, he will have to accept fundamental reforms - the Swabian will question and want to change the structures and processes surrounding the national team.

DFB: Who will be the new national coach?

Kuntz gets into position - "Go there of course"

Stefan Kuntz *, on the other hand, would be considered as the "logical" successor, who was also Löw when he succeeded Jürgen Klinsmann.

His work as a long-time youth coach is highly valued internally at the DFB - but he does not have top-level international experience.

“I think if someone at the DFB thinks we'll talk to Stefan, they'll call me.

And then of course I'll go there too, ”says the U21 coach.

The third member of the team is Löw's assistant coach Oliver Sorg.

No fixed appointments have yet been made with him and Kuntz, but they are among the closest candidates.

Which Löw successor to choose could be decided in the next few weeks.

But it is also possible that the DFB will take its time until after the EM.
