The Washington Wizards and Danny Abdia recorded another low point in their season early Thursday morning with a 120-91 away defeat to the Detroit Pistons, the weakest team in the East.

The Israeli, who started again in the top five in the absence of the injured Bradley Bill, can perhaps be encouraged that he scored his first double-double in the NBA after finishing with 11 points (4/10 from the field) and 10 rebounds.

The Wizards, who dropped to a 30:17 balance and moved further away from the dream of participating in the playoffs that could lead to the playoffs, looked bad from the first quarter (33:22), and were not really an opponent against the Pistons (34:14), the same opponent who surrendered just five days ago in the capital.

She scored 6/19 of the penalties (32%) and 5/19 of the three (26%).

Although Russell Westbrook recorded another triple-double (16 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists), seventh in the last nine games, he was as mediocre as the rest of his teammates and lost no less than 9 balls.

For the host, Josh Jackson recorded a great game of 31 points (4/7 of the three).

Washington, which has recorded its third consecutive loss (all without the injured Bill) and 10 in the last 13 games, will try to recover at home already on the night between Saturday and Sunday (02:00 Israel time).

The Wizards will host the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic, in what will be Abdia's first encounter with the Slovenian superstar, to whom many compared him before the start of the season.
