As you may recall, the basketball association enlisted in the mission and sent a letter to FIBA together with the team members in which he requested to host the games. In addition, the association may bear some of the estimated costs of half a million shekels. Thanks to the success of hosting the European Under-20 Championships in Tel Aviv.
The pressure of the union, together with the fact that Israel is one of the only countries in Europe that allows an audience to enter the pitches, led to the decision to bring the games to Israel.
The semi-finals will take place on Friday, and now the relevant authorities are working to ensure that the games end before the start of Shabbat, and in any case, Nes Ziona will be included in the early game so that even the traditional fans can arrive.
