Barcelona almost missed tonight (Monday) a golden opportunity to reduce the gap from the leading Atletico Madrid to a single point, but the one who saved the Catalans was Osman Dembele, who found the net in the 90th minute and on the way jumped Leo Messi's team to second place in the Spanish league following 0: 1 Super dramatic on Valladolid.
The Catalans, who in the end, scraped a sixth consecutive league victory, five days before the Clasico against Real Madrid, are now two points away from Real Madrid, who remain in third place.
Sean Weissman was not included in the visitors' squad due to an injury he was carrying from last week's national team game.
Even before 10 minutes into the game, Valladolid almost climbed to a surprising advantage, but Canan Cudrow's shot hit only Barcelona's crossbar and until the whistle for the break, Leo Messi and his teammates did not find the net despite a clear advantage on the grass.
In the second half, the ritual continued - Messi and Dembele, missed the frame mainly due to inaccuracy.
11 minutes to go, Valladolid were left with ten players after Oscar Plano tripped Osman Dembele from behind and suffered a direct red card.
England:

Hamas Rodriguez scored first (56), Michi Batshuay managed to balance two minutes after coming on as a substitute in the 86th minute.
